Serious About Presents!

My child is not kidding around when it comes to seeing what Santa left under the tree.

Off the Wagon

Well...what can I say?  Chasing around a very active two year old who is so not a fan of posing for pictures has left little in the way of [entertaining] blog material.  Then slacking begets slacking and before you know it, two months have flown by.

We had a wonderful holiday season.  MP2 only gets more fun in terms of his exploding personality.  We've had a few tastes of terrible-two-temper-tantrum-dom, but really so little that I can hardly complain.  We spent Thanksgiving with Nana + Papa and some dear family friends.  It was such a nice day and we were happy to be surrounded by those for whom we're so thankful.  We missed the Pulles though :(

Shortly after Thanksgiving, we celebrated my birthday with a trip to dinner and gelato with Nana + Papa (thanks, y'all!).  Our little guy is one big fan of the ice cream.

We got to do lots of fun pre-Christmas activities...including the lighting of the state tree, the lighting of the metro tree, and a visit with Santa to name a few.

"I want cars, and choo-choos, and cars"

All leading up to the visit from the man in the red suit!  He brought MP2 cars, but unfortunately didn't seem to have an extra set of Christmas tree lights on him to help us re-light the bottom half of ours. :)
 Very serious about new toys...

 Love to open presents!
Family
More fun at Nana + Papa's house.

All in all, we had a great Christmas and it was wonderful to spend time with Nashville family.  We always miss being with extended family elsewhere, but are looking forward to an excuse to head north to meet our newest niece, Ashley, sometime after her arrival in the next couple of weeks.

As for me, well, I will certainly try to do a better job documenting our goings on here on the blog.  Happy 2013, Happy Martin Luther King Day and Happy Inauguration!! :)
